Week of 9/17/18

9/18: K-6 picture orders due

9/19:

  • Parent and Teacher Support (PATS) General Meeting in the MPR at 7:35 a.m., followed immediately by the Head of School Parent Coffee.  Join the PATS executive board to vote, hear about volunteer opportunities and event information, and stay to hear school updates and ask questions at the coffee.
  • High school girls basketball parent/player meeting at 5:30 p.m. in room 11.  

9/20: 7-12 picture orders due

9/21:

  • Patriots Day Attire
  • Friday night we don’t have a football game, but we do have the High School “Dare to Dodge” House Dodgeball Tournament taking place from 6-9 p.m. in the MPR.  Come out to cheer on your favorite House and enjoy the snack bar.  There is no entrance fee! 

HOME GAMES-
On 9/18 our girls volleyball teams take on Santa Rosa Academy.  Games start at 3:30 p.m.  On 9/20 the girls varsity team takes on Carnegie at 4:30 p.m.

Week of 9/10/18

9/10: Late Start Schedule – Reminder:  Every Monday we have late start schedule.  School begins at 8:45 a.m. for all students. (This will be the last weekly reminder.) 9/11: TPS Board of Directors meeting at 6 p.m. in room 39 

9/12:

  • “We-cycle Wednesday” is back!  This is a recycle program that our PATS organization sponsors.  Please click here for drop off information and additional details.
  • Senior Picture Day – Class of 2019 parents should refer to specific emails regarding this event.
  • After school bake sale to support our High School ASB.  The ASB uses funds raised to put on great events for the student body.

9/13:  After school Dunkin’ Donuts bake sale to support our 7th and 8th grade ASB.  Please swing by to pick up a donut for just $1, outside gate 2.

9/14 (Friday):

  • NO SCHOOL (Staff Development Day)
  • End of progress period – Upper School (7-12) teachers will email parents if a student is achieving a C- or below.  Lower School (K-6) teachers will email parents if a student is achieving a C- or below in grades 3-6 and achieving unsatisfactory grades in grades K-2.

9/15 (Saturday):  Seniors who have submitted the required paperwork for aseniorparking permit and spot are invited to “Class of 2019 Parking Spot Painting Day” from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the TPS parking lot.

Week of 9/3/18

9/3:   NO SCHOOL – Labor Day

9/4: This year, we added a new communication tool.  This tool allows us to communicate school reminders or emergency messages immediately to your cell phone.  In order to receive text messages, you must “JOIN” (which indicates that you wish to receive messages).  Today, anyone who did not “join” in early August will receive a text from “SignalKit District” at 4 p.m.  We hope you will consider opting in.

9/5:

  • If your child was absent on August 31st for picture day, they will have their photo taken today.
  • After school bake sale to support our High School ASB.  Visit their table outside gate 2 to support this great organization!

9/6:  Auditions for K-6 Drama Production of “The Frog Prince” from 2:15-3:30 p.m.in room 44.  Please click here for audition details.

Week of 8/27/18

8/27:

  • Late Start Schedule – Reminder:  Every Monday we have late start schedule.  School begins at 8:45 a.m. for all students.
  • PARENT ASSEMBLY – “CyberSense:  Think Before You Click!” at 6 p.m. in the MPR.  Students in 4th-12th grade will be having a special assembly on 8/28 that teaches them about online risks and easy solutions to protect themselves.  The parent assembly today is designed to give you (the parent) a preview of what your children will be learning.  Our guest speaker, Mr. Munton, will also discuss the biggest risks and challenges children face and the essential steps every parent must take to protect their kids.  Please click here for information about Mr. Munton.
  • 6th-8th grade flag football tryouts from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. on Patriot Field.  Each participating student much have a completed Athletic Release and Waiver Form at the tryout.  

8/28: Assembly attire day required for 4th – 12th grade for a special assembly. TPS is hosting a “CyberSense:  Think Before You Click” assembly for students in grades 4-12 during the school day.  (This is assembly is for students only.)  Since this is the first assembly attire day scheduled and it has come up very quickly, we want you to know that we will be very flexible.  Please click here if you would like a reminder of the assembly attire dress code policy.  There will be more assembly attire days this school year, than in previous years.

8/29:

  • Join us for the first Parent and Teacher Support (PATS) meeting of the year in the MPR at 7:35 a.m. Learn about upcoming PATS events and volunteer opportunities.
  • Immediately following the PATS meeting, our Head of School will be hosting a “Parent Coffee” meeting.  Join us to hear Dr. Agostini provide school updates and to ask questions.
  • The TPS Theatre department will be holding auditions for its 2018-2019 season today and tomorrow (8/30) from 3-6 p.m. in room 27.  Auditions are open to students in grades 7-12 by appointment only.  Please visit room 27 to sign up and contact jarreola@temeculaprep.com for any questions.  
  • 6th-8th grade girls volleyball tryouts from 2:45-4:15 p.m. in the MPR.  Each participating student much have a completed Athletic Release and Waiver Form at the tryout. 
  • Senior Parent Night at 6:30 p.m. in the MPR.  Our College & Counseling Department is hosting this event for Class of 2019 parents and students.  The counselors will be covering important topics such as graduation requirements, key college application deadlines, and more.

8/30:  High School boys basketball parent meeting at 6 p.m. in room 35.

8/31:

  • K-12 Picture Day!  Students will have their school photos taken during the school day.  Students must wear either “regular school day” or “assembly day” dress code attire. It is NOT a “free dress” day or Patriots Day.  Please click here for a few additional details.  Students who are absent on 8/31 will have their photos taken on 9/5.  
  • Deadline to submit applications for National Junior Honor Society (open to grades 7-9) and National Honor Society (open to grades 10-12 ).  Please see further details in the “General Information” section.
