Timothy D. Bagby
Mr. Timothy Bagby serves as the K-12 School Dean at Temecula Preparatory School. Mr. Bagby was raised in southern California where he attended school at Orange Lutheran High School. He knew by the time he was sixteen years old that he wanted to serve as an educator.
Mr. Bagby attended Concordia College in River Forest, Illinois on a basketball scholarship and earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and Music. He continued his education at Grand Valley State University in Michigan where he earned his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Over his career, he has taught full time, served as a choir director, an athletic director, coach, and youth director for teens. He began his administrative career as an assistant principal at an elementary school in Niles, Michigan and after two and a half years took a position as a principal at Brandywine Elementary School, also in Niles.
Mr. Bagby comes to TPS with 18 years of experience as a teacher and 14 years of experience as an administrator. He is very excited to serve the families at TPS in his new position as School Dean and spend time with family in southern California. He feels a strong calling to serve at TPS and looks forward to building relationships with the students, parents and staff.
Renee Huskey, Director of Enrollment & Communications
Mrs. Renee Huskey is from the southern California area, which is where she spent her childhood, attended college and began her career. In 1995, she opted to be a stay at home mom and move to the Temecula area where her family has resided for the past 20 years. Her eldest child became a member of the original first-grade class in September 2000 after her family signed a petition to help Temecula Preparatory School open its doors. Being involved at TPS as a parent allowed her to see the benefits of classical curriculum and the school's unique culture. As a result of her strong belief in the TPS program, she pursued a position at the school and has been employed for the past fourteen years. She continues to believe wholeheartedly in the school’s mission, vision, and culture and was proud to see her youngest child graduate from TPS in June 2015.
Mrs. Huskey has held several positions during her time with TPS and currently serves as the Director of Enrollment and Communications. This position allows her to stay connected with the students, parents, staff and to share the history of the school with families who are interested in becoming part of the TPS school community.
JJ Santa Cruz, Director of Activities & Athletics
Mr. Javier "JJ" Santa Cruz currently serves as the Director of Athletics and Activities at Temecula Preparatory School.
Mr. Santa Cruz considers Yuma, Arizona his hometown, but he decided to matriculate to Palomar College in Southern California where he earned his Associates Degree in Liberal Studies followed by his Bachelor of Arts in Social Science from California State University, San Marcos. Mr. Santa Cruz began his involvement in education as an associate head basketball coach at Palomar College and then took a position as a Social Science teacher at a private school. Mr. Santa Cruz has served as Athletic Director for several years at Temecula Preparatory School in addition to being the Head Coach for the boy’s Varsity Basketball team for 6 years. He has earned “Coach of the Year” numerous times, most recently at TPS for the 2011-12 season. Mr. Santa Cruz known for his dedication to the TPS student body. Two of his three children are TPS alumni.
Sarah Turney, Director of Student Support Services
Mrs. Sarah Turney graduated from Hemet High School. She then matriculated to California State University, San Bernardino where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies and she also earned her multiple subjects teaching credential in general subjects. Elsinore Elementary School hired Mrs. Turney as a substitute kindergarten teacher, and long-term substitute teacher. She then taught at Rehoboth Charter Academy as a 1st grade teacher.
Mrs. Turney joined the TPS faculty in 2005 as a 3rd grade teacher. In 2008 she began preparing for her current role by teaching 6th grade and then 8th grade as she pursued her Masters in Educational Administration. In 2010 and 2011 she served in administration as the Dean of Students and when TPS created its Student Support Services Department, she was very instrumental in helping develop this program. Initially she served as the Upper School RTI Coordinator, transitioned to Assistant Director of Student Support Services and now serves in her current role as Director of Student Support Services.
Mrs. Turney is ELA1 and EL certified.
Cindy Woodruff, Director of Research & Curriculum
Mrs. Cindy Woodruff serves at the Director of Research & Curriculum Temecula Preparatory School. Mrs. Woodruff is passionate about education and has attended several colleges and universities. Through her educational pursuits she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a core studies in Humanities from Scripps College and continued her post graduate studies at California State University, San Marcos, and Brandman University.
Mrs. Woodruff moved to the Temecula area in 1986 and has been involved in education for over 23 years in both the public and private sectors. Mrs. Woodruff has worked a classroom teacher in grades K-12, and as an administrator for 13 years, also in grades K-12. She began her career at TPS in 2003 during which time she has served in multiple roles. This is her 9th year serving on the administrative team.
Mrs. Woodruff is dedicated to the vision and mission of TPS as well as the classical model of education. She is honored to serve the TPS community. Her youngest of 5 children is a TPS alumni.
