Welcome to Temecula Preparatory SchoolIn 2000, Temecula Preparatory School opened its doors to a small group of new students. Today, it serves students in grades K-12, and its program has gained national acclaim, recently ranked by US News and World Report as one of the best high schools in America. Temecula Prep is a classical public charter school, modeled after Hillsdale Academy in Michigan, which features a highly traditional, virtue-centered curriculum that strongly encourages the development of basic skills as well as critical analysis. Temecula Prep offers a strong curriculum based in phonics, classical literature, grammar, composition, mathematics, science, history and geography. These primary subjects are bolstered by the study of French and Latin in grades K-12. This curriculum is designed to flow through the classical “trivium”. In short, the trivium recognizes the three developmental stages of the primary student: the grammar stage, the logic stage, and the rhetoric stage, and capitalizes on these in order to produce students that understand universal truths and are able to think critically as they become our leaders for tomorrow. The founders of Temecula Preparatory School established TPS with three
primary objectives: one, to teach children the skills to be productive
citizens; two, to nurture the moral qualities and habits of mind that
they need to be
good citizens; and three, to provide America with knowledgeable leaders
for tomorrow. We invite you to explore our site and see for yourself
what Temecula Preparatory School may offer your family. |
