Track Continues to Make Great Strides in CIF

May 20, 2008

After an outstanding finish by the boys 4 X 400 Meter Relay last weekend in Carpinteria, the Temecula Prep Season has come to an end.

Jessica Williams established a new school record in the Triple Jump with a mark of 35 8 1/4. She finished 7th in the league and 26th in the Southern Section of CIF and scored two (2) points to put the school on the map.

Darien Bailey had a Triple Jump mark of 44 9. He placed third in league finals the highest of any Temecula Prep athletics in CIF competition. He ended up 27th in the Southern Section. His six points out did Great Oak High School, Chaparral High School and Temecula Valley who did not have competitors in League Finals.

Great Job by all. An incredible season for Temecula Prep Track & Field and the beginning of a new tradition of excellence in this sport!!!!
