Golf Tournament Fundraiser A Huge Success!

TPS held its TPS Classic golf tournament fundraiser at the SCGA golf course on June 27.  Everyone had a great time, and not only that, we raised $17,000.00 for the athletic department!  This success was well over my expectations and could not have been done without the help of many people.  Thank you very much to all those who came out to golf in the tournament, and all those who came out to help on the day of the event.  I was a little busy, so if I didn’t say thank you, please know that everybody’s efforts were well appreciated.  THANK YOU to all those who watched the hole-in-one holes, drove around town doing errands for me, helped with set up and clean up, registration, raffle ticket sales, auction donations, or merely just being there to show that you care, and everyone in between. A special thanks goes out to a few people who put in extra help to make this tournament a success:  Ann Almquist, Angela Sturdivant, Dave Hubka, and especially the Ginchereaus, and Katherine Bailey.  Thanks to them, this tournament greatly exceeded our expectations. It could not have been done without them.  The tournament is expected to be an annual event during the spring.  We’re excited about it becoming an event that more and more people look forward to every year.
