TPS 8-Man Football Debut

Senior Leader and Big Crowd makes for an exciting afternoon...

The air was electric with news of Temecula Preps' first ever tackle football game. The newspaper article, and the aura surrounding what this new endeavor would mean to our school, drew a big crowd out to Marywood Palm Valley high school in Rancho Mirage. The cheer squad, the mascot, and many parents and fans showed their support for our dedicated young men who have worked so hard to represent our school. "Go you mighty Patriots" is the chant you heard as Jeff Overturf barrelled into the endzone for the point after try of our second touchdown. Jeff, our lone senior, finished with (a season high:-)-153 rushing yards, a TD, 4 receptions, and two tackles. The rest of the Patriots (offense and defense) gave a great showing after shaking off some early nerves.
