Athletic News

The TPS Board recently approved the 2 year "Phase Strategy" for high school 8-man football, cheer, as well as boys and girls basketball.  This was due to the hard work and dedication of past Athletic Director, Jake Kruger who worked with our new director, Brian Martin over the summer, and the financial support and enthusiasm of  our TPS Board of Directors.

This 2006-07 school year will begin the two-year process with practice squads, uniforms and coaches.  The 2007-08 school year will be the inaugural season for both sports and cheer pending CIF approval.  The athletic department is busy gearing up for these changes and the addition of our gymnasium early in 2007.  These new sports should embrace our current emphasis on building character through team sports, and complimenting the opportunities available for our many student-athletes.  The new year will bring some fun events such as pep-rallies, an exhibition home football game in November, a home basketball exhibition game in February, and a contest for a additional Patriot mascot and fight song!
