Under the guidance of head coach, and track & field guru, Robert Keetch, Jessica Williams and Darien Bailey completed their outstanding track seasons and displayed visions of very promising futures.  Attendees at the CIF prelims in Carpenteria were impressed with the fact that the Big Sky League's 1st place finisher for the triple jump was only a freshman; TPS's own, Darien Bailey.  Although he was barely edged out at the prelims and did not advance, Darien showed excellent poise amidst the older athletes, and a very promising future which was a topic of discussion at the event. 

As a freshman last year, Jessica made it to prelims in the 100m sprint.  With her great athleticism, she excelled this year by again qualifying for prelims, but in the long jump and triple jump.  At the big prelims meet, showing inspiring competative greateness, Jessica needed to break her personal triple jump record by two feet (a very big margin) in order to advance to the CIF championships.  Amidst the big crowd on hand at Carpinteria, she did just that. 

Not only are Darien and Jessica great athletes, they are true examples of what TPS athletes should be by excelling in the classroom, and by having great poise and sportsmanship during competition.
